A simple breakdown of my vacays
A good stay with fine lake views and a cozy room. The on-site restaurant offers excellent meals, though real maple syrup would be a nice touch. The staff was excellent, especially when resolving minor issues. Clean and comfortable accommodations were good, despite a few quirks. I'd definitely return for the scenery and service!

It was clean, and the people were very friendly. The location was particularly good and stunning because it was really close to The Cabot Trail Motel, the attached restaurant and the Bras D'Or lakes. I came here for 1 night and had a perfect stay.

would definitely go back
The lake view from our queen room was fine, especially at sunset. The room was clean and cozy, with a balcony with chairs, but it was too chilly to use. The on-site restaurant had excellent meals, with homemade fries and a good breakfast selection. The service was great and genuinely friendly.

Everything there were perfect, including comfortable facilities. Exceptionally comfortable beds and clean and fairly quiet room. Marvellous and incredibly nice breakfast with a wide array of choice. What a great and gorgeous location on a hill from the bay! And very close to highway and waters, the spotless restaurant, and Cape Breton.

The cozy deck overlooking the lake was a true gem. Everything felt inviting and accessible.
More handrails in the bathroom would be helpful.

great stay with a few minor drawbacks
The location on a hill offered fine views of the lake, especially at sunset. Dining was great with friendly staff delivering excellent meals. The breakfast variety catered to different tastes, from indulgent to healthy options. It felt cute to stay at a place that understood our needs with a service dog.
The wifi connection could use improvement.

grand views of Bras d'Or Lake, convenient access to downtown Baddeck, slightly dated yet clean rooms
No mini fridge in the room!!! With a little investment, newer TVs could refresh the mood!!! Free coffee/tea policy feels confusing and could use clarification!!!
